Crystal Trail

The trail near Crystal Reservoir, in the North Slope Recreation Area, is a connecting trail in Ring the Peak, from the Mount Esther Trail to the base of the dam for Crystal Reservoir.

Friends of the Peak built the Crystal connector with volunteer projects in 2002 and 2003.  The work was interrupted by the Hayman fire, which started on June 8, 2002, the same day as one of the weekend projects building the Crystal connector.  Some projects scheduled that summer had to be canceled.  Friends of the Peak was able to complete the connector the next year.
